App: AI Mirror – Phone Mirror app

Effective Date: August 18, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information AI Mirror (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Use. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, or address to use the App.

2. Device Permissions We Request

The App requests the following permissions. Each is used only for the feature described, and you can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings.

Camera — Required for the mirror, real-time beauty adjustment, AI skin analysis, AI hair analysis, and the tools in AI Studio. The live camera preview is processed on your device in real time and is never recorded or transmitted. The only images that leave your device are the single still photos you deliberately submit for AI Skin Analysis or AI Hair Analysis, or attach to a question for the AI beauty assistant, and only after you have given in-app permission (see Section 4).

Photo Library (Add Only) — Used solely to save photos you choose to save. The App requests add-only access and cannot read or browse your existing photo library.

Microphone — Used only when you choose to ask the AI beauty assistant a question by voice.

Speech Recognition — Used only to transcribe your voice question into text. This transcription is performed by Apple’s speech recognition service and, depending on your device and selected language, the audio may be sent to Apple for processing under Apple’s privacy policy.

3. Information We Collect

Photos you submit for AI analysis. When you run an AI Skin Analysis or AI Hair Analysis, or attach an image or PDF to a question for the AI beauty assistant, that content is transmitted to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) to generate your result. This is the only situation in which images leave your device, and it happens only when you actively start an analysis or send an attachment.

Text you type. Questions you send to the AI beauty assistant are transmitted to the same provider (OpenAI) to generate a response.

Voice input. If you choose to ask the AI beauty assistant a question by speaking instead of typing, the App records your voice only for as long as you are dictating and transcribes it using Apple’s speech recognition service. Depending on your device and the language you selected, iOS may send that audio to Apple for processing, under Apple’s own privacy policy (see Section 5). The resulting text is then handled exactly like a typed question and is transmitted to OpenAI to generate your answer. We do not store the recording, and we never receive a copy of it.

Report scores sent with a question. When you ask the AI beauty assistant about one of your reports, the numeric scores of that report (for example “moisture 70%”) are sent to OpenAI together with your question, so that the answer matches your own results. The report photo itself is not attached.

Analysis results. Scores, metrics, tips, and thumbnail images generated by the App are stored locally on your device so you can view your history and trends.

Purchase status. Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only the anonymous entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features. We never see or receive your payment card, Apple Account credentials, or billing address.

Correspondence. If you email our support address, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message and use it only to reply to you.

We do not operate our own user accounts, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs, and the App does not contain third-party advertising or tracking libraries. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

4. About Face Data

What face data the App handles. The App handles face data in exactly two ways. (a) On-device facial landmarks: features such as the mirror, beauty adjustment, makeup coaching, and the on-device analysis engine detect the position of eyes, brows, lips, nose, and jawline to align effects and produce measurements. This detection runs entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision and ARKit frameworks, the landmark coordinates exist only in memory for the duration of the frame, and they are never stored, never transmitted to us, and never transmitted to anyone else. (b) Still photos that show your face: when you run an AI Skin Analysis or AI Hair Analysis in AI mode, or attach a photo to a question for the AI beauty assistant, that single still image is sent to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) to produce the result you requested.

We do not create, store, or use a faceprint, face template, face embedding, or any other biometric identifier. We do not use face data to identify, recognize, verify, or authenticate you, to match you against any database, to build a profile about you, or for advertising, and we never share or sell it for those purposes. Photos you submit for AI analysis are used only to generate the result you requested.

Your permission comes first. The App asks for your permission inside the App, before anything is sent, and the default state is that nothing may be sent. The first time you open the App, the last step of the introduction is a screen titled “Before you start: AI data sharing” that names what would be sent, who receives it and where it is processed, and offers you “Allow and continue” or “Don’t allow — keep everything on-device”. This screen cannot be skipped. The same disclosure is shown again, with the same choice, before your first AI Skin Analysis or AI Hair Analysis and before the AI beauty assistant opens, if you have not yet agreed; it is never placed behind a subscription or any other barrier. You can review or withdraw your permission at any time: it is the first row of the App’s own Settings screen, “AI data sharing”, which shows the current state (Allowed or Not allowed) and opens the full disclosure together with a “Withdraw permission” button. Withdrawing takes effect immediately and the App asks again the next time an AI feature is used. If you decline or withdraw, skin and hair analysis still work using the on-device engine, fully offline, and every other feature keeps working.

How long face data is retained. We retain none of it: AI Mirror operates no servers, so no photo of your face is ever stored by us. The submitted photo is retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring and is then deleted; under the OpenAI API terms it is not used to train OpenAI’s models. The copy that stays on your device — the analysis photo and its report thumbnail — is held in the App’s private storage until you delete the report in the App or delete the App.

5. How Your Data Is Processed and Retained

On your device. Analysis reports, scores, thumbnails, and your settings are stored in the App’s private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Deleting a report in the App removes it, and deleting the App removes all of it.

Our AI processing provider. Photos, attachments, and questions you submit are sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. over an encrypted HTTPS connection, through the OpenAI API at api.openai.com, and are processed on OpenAI’s servers in the United States, solely to generate your result. This happens only after you have given in-app permission. Under OpenAI’s API terms, this content is not used to train their models. OpenAI may retain submitted content for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring and then deletes it, in accordance with its own policy: https://openai.com/policies/ We have confirmed that OpenAI’s API terms provide protections for this content equal to those described in this policy. OpenAI is our only third-party recipient of your content; there are no others.

Apple. Two kinds of data reach Apple. Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple, which gives us only the anonymous entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features. Voice questions may be transcribed by Apple’s speech recognition service, in which case iOS sends the audio to Apple. Apple processes both under its own published privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ We have reviewed that policy and confirm that it provides protections for this data equal to those described in this policy. We receive no copy of the audio and no payment details.

Our own servers. We do not operate servers that store your photos, analysis results, or questions.

6. How We Use Information

We use information only to: provide the features you request; generate and display your analysis results and history; process and restore subscriptions through Apple; respond to your support requests; maintain the security and stability of the App; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your content for direct marketing.

7. Sharing

We share information only in these cases:

Apple — for App Store purchases, subscription management, and (where applicable) speech recognition.

OpenAI — for the AI processing described in Section 5.

Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

Business transfer — if our business is transferred, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

We have no other third-party recipients.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where local law requires a higher age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because analysis data is stored on your device rather than on our servers, you can exercise most of these rights directly: delete individual reports in the App, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, or delete the App. For anything else, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases are performance of a contract (providing features you request), consent (device permissions), and legitimate interests (security and service improvement). Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

10. Security

We use HTTPS for all transmission and rely on iOS app sandboxing to protect data stored on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate measures.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
